American Thinker has an interesting article about why banning incandescent light bulbs will:
- Hurt poor people
- Create a wealth transfer from the US to China
- Cause more coal fired power plants to come on line, not fewer
- Spread 50,000 lbs. of mercury around the country, making each and every location with a light bulb a potential toxic waste situation
- Pollute the ground water
- Cause electricity prices to rise
TCS Daily also has an article on the subject, but focuses on whether or not legislation is needed to effect the phasing out of incandescents.
