More Daylight Savings Time = More Gas Consumption

In another example of how government intervention often leads to unintended consequences, USA Today is reporting that the extra three weeks of daylight savings time that we now have and that were intended to reduce energy consumption has actually contributed (either in part or in whole) to a 2.8% increase in gas consumption.
